About
Kimberly Gale is the founder and principal lawyer of Gale Law Professional Corporation. She practices in the areas of estate litigation, elder law, estate administration, guardianship and capacity matters, mediation, and collaborative dispute resolution.
Kim is recognized for providing practical, strategic, and compassionate guidance to individuals and families facing some of life’s most challenging legal disputes. Whether acting for executors, beneficiaries, attorneys for property or personal care, guardians, or family members, she is committed to helping clients navigate conflict with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
Her practice focuses on a broad range of estate and trust matters, including will challenges, dependent support claims, powers of attorney disputes, guardianship applications, passing of accounts, executor removal applications, elder abuse matters, and estate administration. While Kim is an experienced advocate, she is equally passionate about helping families resolve disputes outside of the courtroom through mediation and collaborative processes.
Kim holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Dispute Resolution from Osgoode Hall Law School. Her advanced training in conflict resolution informs her approach to every matter, allowing her to identify creative solutions that protect relationships, preserve estates, and reduce the emotional and financial costs of litigation whenever possible.
A recognized leader within the legal profession, Kim currently serves as Chair of the Ontario Bar Association Elder Law Section for 2025–2026. She is also the co-founder and co-lead of Collaborative Practice Estates and Trusts (CPET), an interdisciplinary initiative operating under the auspices of the Ontario Association of Collaborative Professionals (OACP) and the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (FDRIO). CPET brings together lawyers, financial professionals, mediators, and mental health practitioners to advance collaborative approaches to resolving estates, trusts, capacity, and elder law disputes.
Kim has been recognized in Best Lawyers 2026 and was nominated for Canadian Lawyer’s Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers. She is also the founder of NCA Network, a national organization dedicated to supporting internationally trained lawyers and NCA candidates through mentorship, education, and professional development.
Before founding Gale Law, Kim gained legal experience in both Canada and the United Kingdom. Her diverse professional background also includes business development with Fortune 500 company C.H. Robinson and entrepreneurial ventures focused on education, technology, and professional networking.
Kim believes that effective legal representation requires more than legal knowledge. It requires listening, strategic thinking, practical problem-solving, and a commitment to helping clients move forward. Her goal is to provide trusted advice, strong advocacy, and practical solutions while helping clients find the most effective path to resolution.
