Jocelyn Tatebe

Jocelyn completed a B.A. from the University of British Columbia where she double majored in History and International Relations.  She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and a Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.) from McGill University.  Jocelyn is a lifelong learner and in 2022 she earned her Certified Information Privacy Professional Canada designation (CIPP/C).

Jocelyn was called to the Bar in 2009.  For ten years, she worked at several prominent civil litigation firms in downtown Toronto where she regularly appeared before the Ontario Superior Court, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and the License Appeal Tribunal. She has acted as counsel for judicial reviews at the Divisional Court. Jocelyn’s work experience also includes working as in-house counsel for an insurance company.

Jocelyn is very active in the Ontario legal community.  In addition to being the current President of the Women's Law Association of Ontario (WLAO), Jocelyn is a proud member of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (FACL), Canadian Defence Lawyers (CDL) and the Ontario Bar Association (OBA).
